connectivity project

[edit source]

Hallo, my name is Anastasiya Lvova, I'm "duty" in Connectivity project. The essence of the "Connectivity" project is to study and enhance the coherence of Wikipedia, or, in other words, to improve hypertext navigation between articles. The project deals with deadends, isolated articles, non-categorized articles, transitivity of the category tree, etc.

We want to work with your language version, but we need configured MediaWiki:Disambiguationspage for it (with direct links to template namespace pages, for example, ru:MediaWiki:Disambiguationspage/de:MediaWiki:Disambiguationspage/fr:MediaWiki:Disambiguationspage). Is it possible to set it up for our usage?

thanks in advance, Lvova 18:37, 13 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Si tu as besoin d'aide...

[edit source]

Bonjour Amqui!

--Orbitale 22:52, 11 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Amqui 00:54, 12 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

dcljr Normally when there is a local sysop, it takes care of that, right? Holder is not sysop here, he is global admin. There is still one SD in this category since June 27. —Eihel (talk) 22:26, 3 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
You should talk to User:Holder about this. - dcljr (talk) 07:50, 4 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your advanced permissions on cr.wikipedia

[edit source]

Hello. A policy regarding the removal of "advanced rights" (administrator, bureaucrat, interface administrator, etc.) was adopted by community consensus in 2013. According to this policy, the stewards are reviewing activity on wikis with no inactivity policy.

You meet the inactivity criteria (no edits and no logged actions for 2 years) on this wiki. Since this wiki, to the best of our knowledge, does not have its own rights review process, the global one applies.

If you want to keep your advanced permissions, you should inform the community of the wiki about the fact that the stewards have sent you this information about your inactivity. A community notice about this process has been also posted on the local Village Pump of this wiki. If the community has a discussion about it and then wants you to keep your rights, please contact the stewards at the m:Stewards' noticeboard, and link to the discussion of the local community, where they express their wish to continue to maintain the rights.

If you wish to resign your rights, please request removal of your rights on Meta.

If there is no response at all after one month, stewards will proceed to remove your administrator and/or bureaucrat rights. In ambiguous cases, stewards will evaluate the responses and will refer a decision back to the local community for their comment and review. If you have any questions, please contact the stewards.

Yours faithfully. --علاء (talk) 10:37, 13 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Liuxinyu970226, I fixed it locally for the time being, but the real fix will need to be done on TranslateWiki. Someone did something they were not supposed to do. Thanks, Amqui (talk) 19:50, 24 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Some articles without Wikidata items

[edit source]

Could you look at the following articles to establish what Wikidata item would fit each one of them? Thank you.

I hope that I attributed the following one the right Wikidata item (it seems to be a generic article about flags in general: ᑭᐢᑭᐁᐧᑭᐣ).

Happy Wiki editing! - Victor P. (talk) 09:32, 30 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

How we will see unregistered users

[edit source]

Hi!

You get this message because you are an admin on a Wikimedia wiki.

When someone edits a Wikimedia wiki without being logged in today, we show their IP address. As you may already know, we will not be able to do this in the future. This is a decision by the Wikimedia Foundation Legal department, because norms and regulations for privacy online have changed.

Instead of the IP we will show a masked identity. You as an admin will still be able to access the IP. There will also be a new user right for those who need to see the full IPs of unregistered users to fight vandalism, harassment and spam without being admins. Patrollers will also see part of the IP even without this user right. We are also working on better tools to help.

If you have not seen it before, you can read more on Meta. If you want to make sure you don’t miss technical changes on the Wikimedia wikis, you can subscribe to the weekly technical newsletter.

We have two suggested ways this identity could work. We would appreciate your feedback on which way you think would work best for you and your wiki, now and in the future. You can let us know on the talk page. You can write in your language. The suggestions were posted in October and we will decide after 17 January.

Thank you. /Johan (WMF)

Please fix a borked move attempt

[edit source]

I tried to undo this page move from "Solid" to "Wikipedia:Archives/Solid", but didn't notice that the page-move interface was offering "Wikipedia:" as the target namespace, so the article ended up at Wikipedia:Solid. In trying to fix that mistake, I mistyped the original location as "Wikipedia:Archive/Solid" (missing the "s" on the word "Archives"), so the article has ended up at Wikipedia:Archive/Solid (along with a corresponding talk page). Could you please either move the article back to the original title, "Solid" (my preference, as explained at Wikipedia talk:Archive/Solid), or (if necessary) back to "Wikipedia:Archives/Solid"? Note that the talk page, Wikipedia talk:Archive/Solid, should join the article wherever it ends up. - dcljr (talk) 00:47, 6 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
